Lawmakers in Monday's meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) have drawn attention of the government on contemporary issues.
Lawmaker Chanda Chaudhary was allowed to speak after lawmakers of Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) stood up from their seats in protest soon after Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara began the meeting.
Saying false complaints filed against different persons during Tarai-Madhes agitation should be withdrawn and RJP's demand of constitution amendment should be addressed, Chaudhary demanded to unveil the report of probe Commission formed under coordination of former judge Girish Chandra Lal. Chaudhary also warned of launching agitation if the report was not unveiled at the earliest.
During the zero hour of the meeting, lawmaker Atahar Kamal Musalman demanded to address the demands of nurses as problem has surfaced at health institutions due to their agitation.
Similarly, Anil Kumar Jha demanded the government to fulfill demands of temporary teachers and teachers of relief quota.
Saying sugarcane farmers have not got appropriate price of their products Amaresh Kumar Singh raised question why they have been victimized.
Likewise, Asha Kumari BK stressed that government should pay its attention towards snail pace work progress of national pride projects of Far-West state while Umesh Kumar Shrestha asked the government to fulfill vacant quotas of teachers.
Khagaraj Adhikari asked response of the delay made in construction of Kaligandaki irrigation project. Ekwal Miya, Gajendra Bahadur Mahat, Ghanshyam Khatiwada and Jip Tshering Lama drew government's attention on various issues including providing fertilizer to real farmers in subsidized rate and allocating budget for tunnel of Upper Tamakoshi hydro project in coming fiscal year.
