Massive demonstration demanding annulment of guthi bill (PHOTOS)

People from different walks of life staged a demonstration Wednesday in the capital, demanding guthi bill be scrapped. The demonstrators, who came from various parts of the capital, displayed Nepali flags at Maitighar Mandala, chanted slogans and demanded the bill be scrapped. The demonstration was organized by Guthiyar (trustees of guthi) and Newa Deya Dabu. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal on Tuesday announced withdrawal of the bill that was tabled at the National Assembly causing a widespread protest against it from all quarters.
