The ruling CPN has called secretariat meeting at the prime minister's (PM) official residence in Baluwatar Wednesday afternoon.
CPN Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the meeting is likely to discuss about the party's committees in the six metropolitan cities, expatriate committee and commissions.
The leaders have informally agreed to give leadership of Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Pokhara and Bharatpur to former UML leaders, and Lalitpur and Birgunj to the former Maoists.
The party similarly is set to make central member Binda Pandey the head of the expat committee, and central members Yuvaraj Karki and Yuvaraj Chaulagai the deputy heads.
The meeting will also decide on the central discipline commission, audit commission and election commission.
The two chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, secretary member Ram Bahadur Thapa and General Secretary Bishnu Paudel were earlier scheduled to meet before the secretariat meeting to conclude the remaining unification works. But that meeting could not take place as Dahal had to visit Chitwan following death of his uncle.
This is the first secretariat meeting after Oli's return from Singapore on Friday. Oli and senior leader Madhav Kuamr Nepal had an acrimonious war of words in the last meeting held on the day Oli left for Singapore on August 22.
Dahal had chaired one secretariat meeting at the party office in Dhumbarahi when Oli was in Singapore.
