The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has obstructed the House even on Monday demanding action against the CPN cadres who attacked the party's president in Banke Kiran Koirala.
Speaking at the start of to the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Monday, NC lawmaker Pushpa Bhusal demanded that complaint against the three CPN cadres be lodged for assaulting Koirala and they punished.
CPN lawmaker from Banke-3 Nanda Lal Rokaya, speaking after Bhusal, claimed that the CPN cadres were not involved in the incident and warned that the party will also start protest if the three were punished.
NC lawmakers stood up from their seats, went to the rostrum and started to chant slogans after Rokaya finished.
Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara then adjourned the House until 11 Wednesday morning after NC lawmakers continued to chant slogans despite him repeatedly urging the opposition lawmakers to sit.
The House was also adjourned following NC obstruction on Sunday.
Three CPN cadres have been arrested for assaulting Koirala during the second round of party's awareness campaign on Thursday.
Locals CPN leader Lok Bahadur Shahi, and cadres Nirmal Khatri and Roshan Singh Thakuri have been arrested Thursday night following official complaint by Koirala.
The CPN cadres had attacked Koirala and other cadres during the party's program held at the Red Cross Hall in the afternoon. Koirala's hand was broken due to the assault.
