The secretariat meeting of ruling CPN at Paris Danda Sunday discussed Cabinet reshuffle.
"The secretariat meeting today discussed about Cabinet reshuffle," CPN Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said after the meeting. "Policy discussion about Cabinet reshuffle and the standards for that has started. Names were not discussed. Discussion about names can be done with prime minister if necessary."
Four issues including Cabinet reshuffle were discussed in the meeting. Shrestha started that the meeting was held to discuss implementation of the decisions taken by the recent standing committee meeting.
The issues of constitutional and political appointments were also submitted for discussion in the meeting. He added that discussions will be held to set the grounds for appointments to be made by the government.
The secretariat meeting will continue at Paris Danda on Monday.
The recent standing committee meeting had decided to complete works related to party unification within a month. It had also decided that the secretariat should form a task force to study about the party's academies and institutions.
The secretariat meeting was earlier scheduled for Friday but was postponed as ministers in the secretariat were busy to prepare for celebrations of the Constitution Day on Saturday. Secretariat members Iswhore Pokharel and Ram Bahadur Thapa are deputy prime minister and home minister respectively.
The secretariat meeting is the first to be held at the office of erstwhile CPN (Maoist Center) in Paris Danda on Sunday.
The erstwhile office of CPN-UML in Dhumbarahi is being used as the central office of the party formed after unification of the two parties. But CPN has been holding almost all the party meetings in Baluwatar since Oli became prime minister.
