Birthing center comes into operation in Manedanda

A birthing center has been brought into operation at Manedanda health post in Kispang rural municipality-5. The center has been brought into operation to ensure citizens' access to health services, shared Kispang rural municipality chair Chhatra Bahadur Lama. "There was a compulsion for pregnant and expectant mothers to approach distant health facility in absence of birthing center at previous Manakamana VDC", said Lama. The rural municipality has invested its internal resources to run the birthing center. Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representative Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang had donated four ropanis of land for the operation of birthing center.
