Police committed mistake during investigation: Probe Committee

The probe committee formed to investigate the rape and murder case of 13-year-old Nirmala Panta of Bhimdutta municipality submitted its report to Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa on Tuesday. The five-member probe committee formed under Director General of Prison Management Department Hari Mainali submitted its report to Home Minister Thapa. The government had formed the probe committee under Mainali on August 23. The committee was earlier asked to submit the report within 15 days. However, the deadline was extended for additional 15 days after the investigation started to become complicated. The report has concluded mistake of police during the investigation.
