Idols being prepared for Durga Puja (Photos)

The Dashain festival has formally begun from Wednesday by observing Ghatasthapana, the first day of the 10-day festival, across the country. Sculptors from tarai and India come to Kathmandu to make the clay idols of Goddesses for the festival of Dashain. Various groups of sculptors are currently making clay idols needed for Durga Puja. A set of idols including the different idols of Goddess Durga, Goddess Saraswoti, Goddess Laxmi, Lord Kartik and Lord Ganesh, and idols of demons Mahisasur and Sumbha and Nisumbha are being made.
