A total of 237 people benefited from a free health camp organized by the Chaurjahari municipality of Rukum west.
Altogether 160 women and 77 men underwent medical checkup at the camp held on Saturday at the Janakalyan Secondary School in Sanakhola in ward no. 12 of the municipality. The human development community service hospital provided technical support to the camp.
Many of the people visiting the camp were found suffering from problems related to gastric, cold and cough, uterine prolapsed in women, and ENT as well as dental problems.
Along with the free check-up some also received free medicine. The medical camp was organized with the objective of reaching health services to the doorsteps of the people, Mayor Bishal Sharma said. Areas without access to health posts are being provided free health service along with specialist doctor service.
The Chaurjahari municipality has three health posts and one primary health center.
