Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Chairman and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reached Myagdi for treatment of his wife Sita Dahal. CPN secretariat member and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and his wife Nainkala Thapa have also accompanied the Dahal couple.
The Dahals and Thapas reached Myagdi on a Nepal Army (NA) Mi-17 chopper on Monday. They reached the Tatopani pond at two in the afternoon after travelling nine kilometers on a vehicle from the Sribaks Company of NA in Arthunge, Myagdi.
The couples underwent water therapy in the pond for two hours from two in the afternoon. "They came on a chopper which returned yesterday itself. It will probably come tomorrow (Wednesday) to take them back," Chief District Officer (CDO) of Myagdi Liladhar Adhikari told Setopati.
Home Minister Thapa has also attended a few public programs. "Home Minister Thapa has come to Beni to inaugurate District Emergency Operation Center. It was inaugurated Monday. He observed embankments on Kaligandaki river today," CDO Adhikari said. "They also bathed in the Tatopani pond for natural treatment along with chairman Dahal."

Press associate to Dahal Bishnu Sapkota told Setopati that Dahal has gone to Beni for treatment of his wife Sita after hearing that one is healed after bathing in Tatopani. "Chairman Dahal has gone to Tatopani for treatment of madam. There are apparently three-day, seven-day and 18-day courses for the therapy. They will return back on Wednesday after completing the three-day course."
The Dahals and Thapas will spend four hours at Tatopani on Tuesday. They will return to Kathmandu after one session of water therapy even on Wednesday.
Sita was recently taken to Singapore for treatment after tests at different hospitals in Nepal could not diagnose her ailment. She was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy there.
Separate spots have been kept for men and women to take a bath at Tatopani. The water at the pond has a temperature of around 50 degree Celsius. One has to pay Rs 300 for a session in the pond.
