Traffic police on Wednesday impounded around 297 vehicles including 15 government vehicles in the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), police impounded 297 vehicles by 12 noon on Wednesday.
According to the traffic police spokesperson Jaya Ram Sapkota, police took control over a total of 197 vehicles including 15 government vehicles, 14 vehicles for drink-driving, 15 for driving carelessly, 186 vehicles for not having documents, 17 for not wearing helmets and 23 for three people riding on motorbike.
The traffic police have scrutinized the security check at 77 places especially at main chowks, streets and alleyways.
The MTPD informed that police have also launched mobile van patrolling.
