The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed all the local levels to make provision for having fire engines round-the-clock in view of the onset of stormy season.
Section officer at the Environment and Disaster Management Section of the Ministry Rinu Thapaliya said all the local levels have been issued a six-point directive, including the directive to keep the fire engine on stand-by for 24 hours through proper management of the required human resources.
She said the local levels have also been urged to adopt precaution of break out of fire in settlements and forests during the windy days. They have also been urged to repair the fire engines in time and mobilize fire engines as soon as the fire breaks out.
