Editor-in-Chief of Neal Samacharpatra daily Pushkar Lal Shrestha has passed away at Norvic International Airport at noon Monday. He was 60.
Shrestha had removal of kidney stones and nose surgery five months back. He had Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), wherein a person’s own immune system damages their nerve cells, after that. He was treated at Medanta Hospital in India and different hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley for that condition but to no avail.
Shrestha, the publisher and editor of Kamana Publications, has been active in journalism for three decades. His body will be kept at Bhugol Park in New Road for last respects from one in the afternoon. He will be cremated Wednesday itself, according to family sources.
