The government will bear treatment cost for those who fell ill after consuming poisonous wild mushroom at Nisdi rural municipality of Palpa district on June 7.
Out of 11 people who fell sick after consuming the mushroom, six have already died, two have been discharged from a hospital, and the remaining three are receiving treatment at various hospitals in the capital, Kathmandu, said lawmaker Dal Bahadur Rana.
The families of the deceased and the ailing ones have been demanding that the government compensate them.
Dan Kumari Rana, one of the victims, has been provided with Rs 130,000 through the Ministry of Health and Population after approval from the Home Ministry to pay for her treatment costs as her economic background is weak, said lawmaker Rana.
