Another COVID-19 death in Birgunj, national death toll up to 77

A 45-year-old woman who died Friday night in Birgunj has tested positive for COVID-19.

Dr JP Jaiswal with the Gandak Hospital in Birgunj confirmed that the woman who died Friday night has posthumously tested positive.

The woman from Birgunj-15 was brought to the hospital following respiratory problems Friday night. She died while on ventilator Friday night itself.

Her swab was then sent for PCR test and the report that arrived on Sunday confirmed that she was infected.

She had thyroid problems.

This is the 17^th COVID-19 death reported in Birgunj and 77^th in Nepal.
