The Metropolitan Police Traffic Division said vehicles are still being taken under control at Koteshwore, New Baneshwore, Jawalakhel and other areas in the Valley.
"We have taken the vehicles under control and sent the owners back," Spokesperson with the division SP Bam Dev Gautam said. He added that the owners will be allowed to take back their vehicles in the evening after requesting them to not come out of the house from tomorrow.
Repeat violators will be punished in accordance to the Infectious Disease Act.
The administration has imposed a week-long prohibitory orders in the Valley effective from Thursday after surge in COVID-19 infections.
