The district level COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has recommended that prohibitory orders imposed in the Kathmandu Valley should be extended by a week.
A meeting of the center at the District Administration Office, Kathmandu on Tuesday has recommended so, according to Spokesperson with the office Tulsi Ram Paudel.
Chief district officers (CDO) of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are currently meeting to take necessary decision on the recommendation.
The currently imposed prohibitory orders will end on Wednesday.
Mayors on Monday had advised to extend the prohibitory orders currently enforced in the Kathmandu Valley till August 31. A meeting of the forum of mayors in the Valley on Monday had decided to recommend the extension to all three district administrations concluding that infection has yet to fall.
