Police constable arrested on rape charge

Kathmandu, Sept 7

A police constable has been arrested on charge of rape.

The Metropolitan Police Gaushala Circle has arrested constable Upendra Singh, deployed there, on charge of raping a 21-year-old woman Sunday night.

"The incident happened at seven yesterday night. We have taken him under control after the victim complained," DSP at the Gaushala Circle Jitendra Bhandari told Setopati.

He has been taken to the District Court to extend custody.
