Kathmandu after relaxation of prohibitory orders (photo feature)

Public transportation and private vehicles have returned to the streets with relaxation of prohibitory orders in the Kathmandu Valley from Thursday.

A meeting of the chief district officers (CDO) of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur on Wednesday had taken the decision to relax the prohibitory orders and imposed odd-even system on transportation.

The administration had imposed prohibitory orders in the Kathmandu Valley since August 20.

All private vehicles, taxis and public transportation with 16 or more seats have been allowed to operate after relaxation of the prohibitory orders. They, however, should follow the odd-even system.
