Coronavirus-infected NC General Secretary Shashank Koirala hospitalized

Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Shashank Koirala, who was in home isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 on September 8, has been hospitalized at Om Hospital Tuesday evening after high fever.

A team led by senior consultant physician and Medical Director at the hospital Dr Bishwo Nath Koirala, and including senior consultant pulmonologist Dr Subodh Sagar Dhakal, consultant intensivist Dr Pramesh Sundar Shrestha and others is involved in his treatment.

His health is stable and improving, according to Managing Director of the hospital Babu Kaji Karki.

Koirala was also treated at the same hospital after being critically ill due to aspiration pneumonia in 2016.
