Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba is in home quarantine after two staffers in his secretariat tested positive for COVID-19.
His personal secretary Bhanu Deuba confirmed with Setopati that he is in home quarantine at his residence in Budhanilkantha after two staffers in his secretariat tested positive.
Bhanu Deuba added that the main opposition leader is in home quarantine since Wednesday after the staffers who gave sample for test on Tuesday were showed to be infected on Wednesday.
He was scheduled to meet Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli and CPN Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday to discuss about constitutional appointments. But the meeting did not take place due to Deuba's quarantine.
He, however, continues to participate in the virtual meetings organized by the party with its leaders and cadres.
