Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli has turned 67 on Friday. The standing committee meeting of CPN-UML that Oli chairs started at the PM's official residence in Baluwatar by cutting two cakes to mark the occasion.
The first cake was brought by the party's standing committee. UML Secretary Pradeep Gyawali wished Oli on turning 67. Krishna Gopal Shrestha fed Oli a piece of cake on behalf of the party's central office after Oli cut it.
Madan Bhandari Sports Foundation brought the another cake. Oli himself cut that cake as well. Oli's wife Radhika Shakya fed a piece of that cake to him.
The standing committee meeting that started after cutting birthday cakes will decide the name of UML lawmakers to join the government.
Meanwhile, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri also reached Baluwatar to greet Oli on his birthday.
