Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) Chairman Upendra Yadav will take oath of office for House of Representatives (HoR) in Maithili language and Rajendra Mahato of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP) Chairman Council in Hindi.
Yadav and Mahantha Thakur of RJP Chairman Council will take oath of office in Maithili and Mahato in Hindi, according to the parliament secretariat.
Mahindra Raya Yadav of RJP Chairman Council will administer oath of office and secrecy to HoR members on Sunday.
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari will first administer oath of office and secrecy to Yadav and Yadav will then administer it to other HoR members. Yadav will take oath of office in mother tongue Bajjika.
The parliament secretariat has given the lawmakers wishing to take oath of office in their mother tongue a deadline until Friday to inform about their choice of language. More than 40 lawmakers of HoR and National Assembly have informed the parliament secretariat until now. The lawmakers concerned will themselves have to translate the content of oath in their respective languages and submit that to the secretariat.
Applicants have wished to be sworn in eight different languages apart from Nepali and most of the applicants have wished to take oath of office in Maithili.
Brishesh Chandra Lal, Surendra Kumar Yadav, Pramila Kumari and Surya Narayan Yadav (Suraj) of National Assembly will take oath of office in Maithili. Ramesh Yadav, similarly, will take it in Hindi and Ram Preet Paswan in Bajjika.
Rajendra Shrestha will take oath for HoR in Newari, and Barsha Man Pun and Onsari Gharti Magar in Magar language.
Upendra Yadav, Uma Shankar Argariya, Chandra Kant Chaudhari, Dulari Devi Khatwe, Suresh Chandra Das, Sharat Singh Bhandari, Raj Kishor Yadav, Mahantha Thakur, Renu Kumari Yadav, Dil Kumari, Matrika Yadav, Indu Kumari Sharma and Minakshi Jha will take oath of office in Maithili.
HoR members Anil Kumar Jha, Pramod Sah, Rajendra Mahato, Laxman Lal Karna, Amrita Agrahari, Rani Mandal, Sarita Giri and Chanda Chaudhari will take it in Hindi. Mohammad Ishtiyaq Rai, similarly, will take it in Awadhi, and Pradeep Yadav, Ram Babu Kumar Yadav, Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Hari Narayan Prasad Rauniyar and Akwal Miya in Bhojpuri.
Ganga Chaudhary Satgauwa, Shanta Chaudhari and Resham Lal Chaudhari will take it in Tharu language, and Hit Bahadur Tamang in Tamang language. Rohinaj will take it in Urdu.
The parliament secretariat has scheduled swearing-in of National Assembly members for 3 pm on March 4 and for HoR members for 4 pm the same day.
