Chief Minister of Province No. 4 Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that tourism, energy, agriculture and industry sectors were the major basis for prosperity of the province.
Speaking at a program on micro enterprise development organized in Pokhara on Sunday, the chief minister said generating employment through micro-enterprises has become an utmost need.
Saying that the province policy and programs has planned to run around 300 homestays in Mustang, Manang and around Pokhara to promote tourism, Gurung claimed that 50,000 employment and 100,000 self-employment opportunities would be generated in a year based on priority in the province.
Likewise, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forests and Environment of the Province No. 4 Bikash Lamsal suggested the entrepreneurs to get united to become competitive in the market.
During the program, goods produced from the micro-enterprises were kept in exhibition.
