Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) lawmaker Bhanubhakta Dhakal has been appointed as the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Friday.
The sources at the President's Office informed that the newly-appointed minister will be sworn-in Friday itself.
Earlier, the former Law Minister Sher Bahadur Tamang resigned from the post after the widespread criticism on his comments over female students who are pursuing medical education in Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Health and Population Padma Aryal has been appointed as the Minister for Land Reforms. Dr Surendra Yadav of Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal (FSF-N) is set to be appointed as Minister of State for Health and Population.
The newly-appointed ministers will be administered oath of office and secrecy at 4:30 pm today itself.
