Locals of Tingla in Solukhumbu district have boycotted the federal and provincial assembly elections being held in 32 districts in the first phase on Sunday.
They have boycotted the elections as part of the 'No Vote, No Candidate' campaign protesting inclusion of Tingla in Nechasalyan rural municipality at the time of local level restructuring. They demand Tingla be included in Solu Dudhkunda municipality instead.
Nobody in the village with 2,575 voters, have received voter identity card, as per the Office Of The Chief Returning Officer in the district.
The village had also boycotted the recent local elections and not a single vote was cast there.
