‘Love your lungs’ a message on Valentine’s Day

While many lovebirds maybe exchanging love and affection on ‘Valentine’s Day’ day, some youths have come out to celebrate this day in a different way.

They have held a program with the slogan of ‘Ma Mero Phoksolai Maya Garchhu‘ (I love my lungs) in a bid to create awareness about increasing air pollution in the capital city.

The event, which was part of the week-long campaign ‘Maskmandu Haina Hamilai Kathmandu Chahinxa’ (We need Kathmandu, not maskmandu) that concluded today, was attended by more than 1,000 people including students.
A series of symbolic demonstrations were also held in various places like Chabahil, Koteshwor, Satdobato, Kalanki and Maitighar.
