Chitwan truck accident victims identified

The name and address of the people killed and injured in a road accident that occurred on Thursday at Ghumaune along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section have been ascertained.

A truck with Indian number plate (BR 32 BN 3109) fell 50 meters off the road after overturning due to imbalance while trying to overtake another vehicle. The accident occurred at 3:50 am. The truck was heading toward Kathmandu from Sunauli.

The District Police Office, Chitwan said the person, who died in the accident, is identified as 50-year-old Bikram Singh of Belahiya-1, Rupandehi district. He is the helper in the truck.

Similarly, police said those sustaining serious injuries in the accident are the truck driver, 24-year-old Bipin Sen of Lucknow, India and 31-year-old Arjun Agrahari of Belahiya-1, Rupandehi who was traveling in the truck. They are receiving treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
