The annual chariot procession of Seto Machhindranath, the God of rain and good harvest, has reached Kalbhairav in Hanumandhoka from Ason Monday evening.
The procession that started on Sunday (Chaitra Shuklaastami) was pulled up to Ason on the first day. After worships from the public, it was taken to Kalbhairav Monday, shared Guthi Sansthan Kathmandu Chapter Chairperson Baikuntha Regmi.
The chariot will be taken to Lagantole from Kalbhairav on Tuesday. On the fifth day, the chariot will be pulled to Machhendrabahal from Lagantole. With this, the chariot procession of Seto Machhindranath will come to an end on March 29.
The Seto Machhindranath chariot procession was initiated during the rule of King Pratap Malla.
