We will construct Kalanki-Nagdhunga road section ourselves: Locals

Locals of Chandragiri on Sunday staged a demonstration by filling the potholes after construction of the Kalanki-Nagdhunga road section was halted for a long time. A struggle committee has been formed to press the authority concerned to construct the Kalanki-Nagdhunga road section. They chanted slogans displaying placards, "We will build road section by ourselves". Member and media coordinator of the struggle committee Roshan Dani said they have staged a protest program to press the stakeholders to construct the road section without delay as the rates of road accidents and untimely death of patients caused due to traffic congestion are the consequences of poor state of the road section. Similarly, chairman of the struggle committee Ishwor Lama accepted that they staged a demonstration as the government has turned deaf ears to their repeated demands to construct the road section. According to Lama, the committee had urged the government to take action against Shailung Construction for delaying construction. Locals here are forced to face difficulties caused by dusty roads although the construction of the road section started a long time ago. Secretary of the committee Mohan Dangi said that the committee was prepared to hold any sort of struggle if the government failed to complete construction of the road section without any delay.
