Chief Minister of Province No 3, Dormani Poudel took guardianship of three children and had them enrolled in a local community school Wednesday.
Chief Minister Poudel had two children admitted to the National Secondary School, Sunachuri at Manahari rural municipality-6 and another boy at the Mahendra Kiran Secondary School in west Makwanpur as part of the ongoing school enrollment campaign launched by the government.
The Chief Minister got six-year-old Sanjit Blon of Jogitar, Manahari-6 and six-year-old Jessica Praja of the same place admitted in Class 1 at the National Secondary School, Sunachuri under the School Enrollment Campaign.
Chief Minister Poudel has sponsored the education, school uniform, school bag and stationery of these children.
Speaking after enrolling the children in school, CM Poudel said the provincial government has taken seriously the right of children to education.
Federal parliament member Birodh Khatiwada, provincial lawmakers Juneli Shrestha and Om Ghalan and chairman of Manahari rural municipality Ekraj Upreti were present at the program.
Also today, Chief Minister Poudel got Suman Chepang enrolled at the Mahendra Kiran Secondary School at Manahari.
Similarly, lawmaker Khatiwada, District Coordination Committee, Makwanpur's chief Raghunath Khulal, Rural Municipality Chair Upreti and Ward members Pushkar Subedi and Ram Prasad Dhakal also took guardianship of one child each and provided sponsorship for their education.
